March 24, 2012 - The women's outdoor track season got underway this weekend at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee, and one set of four runners finished strong in two relay events.

The combo of Erin Benjamin, Kayla Caldwell, Becky Caywood and Chelsea Wackernagel ran in two relays, and finished in the top seven in each. They had a fourth-place time of 48.65 seconds in the 4x100 and 4:01.31 in the 4x400 relay. Individually, Wackernagel took fourth in the pole vault, clearing 3.61 meters.

Indoor All-American Kathy Dirksen got off to a good start in the hammer throw, finishing eighth with a toss of 50.03 meters.
