Victoria McCaffrey named GLIAC female outdoor track athlete of the week
Sophomore sets PR in 1500 at Vandy
March 29, 2012 - Hillsdale College sophomore Victoria McCaffrey earned her first-ever conference honor Thursday afternoon, being named the GLIAC female outdoor track athlete of the news story imageweek. The award was chosen and announced by the conference office.

McCaffrey ran a personal-best in the 1500 meter run at the Black and Gold Invitational at Vanderbilt University over the weekend. She finished 20th in the 1500 with a time of 4:50, as part of the only Division II school at the meet. She also ran the 800 meter run, finishing with a time of 2:23.

The Chargers will split their squad this weekend, taking some athletes to The Ole Miss Invitational in Oxford, Mississippi, while others make the short trek to Toledo, Ohio to compete in the Toledo Collegiate Challenge.
