Hillsdale College’s Slayton Arboretum will hold a plant sale on Saturday, May 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The sale will take place at the greenhouse located at the corner of West and Galloway Streets.

An assortment of perennials and annuals, including heirlooms, will be available, including the 2013 Perennial of the Year, Polygonatum odoratum ‘Variegatum’, which is a variety of Solomon’s Seal. Volunteers will be available to assist in plant selections and answer any questions. Proceeds from the sale will help fund the Arboretum’s educational youth programs.

The goal of the Slayton Arboretum is to display and preserve living plant collections and native plant communities, and to study and disseminate knowledge about plants through teaching, research, education, publications, and public outreach programs.
