
Women's basketball team earns national recognition
July 16, 2007 - The Hillsdale College women's basketball team's cumulative grade point average ranks among the best in the nation
July 16, 2007 - The 2006-07 season was an excellent one for the Hillsdale College women's basketball team on the court. The Chargers finished 19-9 and advanced to the GLIAC championship game. The team also had a fine season in the classroom.
Hillsdale finished the 2006-07 season ranked No. 11 in the nation among all Division II schools in cumulative grade point average. The Chargers finished with a GPA of 3.429 for the year.
The WBCA (Women's Basketball Coaches Association) recognized the achievements on July 16 by releasing its top 25 academic teams. Four GLIAC teams appeared in the top 11 in the nation, with Lake Superior State finishing first overall. Michigan Tech and Gannon join Hillsdale in finishing among the top 11 Division II programs in the nation.
