Chargers' swimming coach to speak at national event

July 16, 2007 - Hillsdale College women's swimming and diving coach MaryAnne Gerzanick-Liebowitz has received another invitation to speak at a national college swimming conference.

Gerzanick-Liebowitz will be presenting a speech at the ASCA World Clinic in San Diego, Calif. on Saturday, Sept. 8. The ASCA (American Swimming Coaches Association) is holding its annual five-day conference there, and Gerzanick-Liebowitz will present a speech titled "Planing College Admissions and Swimming Features."

Joining Gerzanick-Liebowitz in the discussion will be Notre Dame's men's coach Tim Welsh. The speech is part of the SPEEDO Athletes Clinic.

Gerzanick-Liebowitz is entering her sixth season coaching the Chargers and has guided the program to success in and out of the pool. Her 2006-07 team finished fifth in the GLIAC and had a cumulative grade point average of above 3.3.
