Booms, a junior, helped lead Hillsdale to a 2-0 start in GLIAC competition over the weekend. The Chargers extended their conference winning streak to 22 matches with wins over 25th-ranked Northwood (3-0) and Saginaw Valley (3-2).

In Friday's win over the Timberwolves, Booms racked up 49 assists, for an amazing average of 16.3 assists per game. Saturday against SVSU, Booms had 65 assists, one shy of her career high. She also had 16 digs, three short of her career high in that category. Hillsdale rallied from an 0-2 deficit to defeat Saginaw Valley, 3-2 on Homecoming.

Booms was named GLIAC South Player of the Week once in 2006. She was a First-Team All-GLIAC player last year and was named to the Daktronics First-Team All-Region in 2006 as well.

Booms was Miss Volleyball in the state of Michigan in 2004-05, and is a 2005 graduate of Marysville High School.
