Charger women's basketball team picked second in South Division in 2007-08 preseason poll
October 24, 2007 - The Hillsdale College women's basketball team was picked to finish second in the 2007-08 GLIAC preseason poll, released Wednesday afternoon by the conference office.
The Chargers received three first-place votes in the poll, which was compiled this year by media members and GLIAC sports information directors. Hillsdale finished 19-9 last year, also in second place in the south to Gannon.
The preseason poll release took on new life this season, which included a conference call among all the league coaches Wednesday morning.

Slot was picked for the South Division Preseason All-GLIAC team. Slot is the leading returning scorer and rebounder form last year's team.
The Chargers lost six seniors and seven total players from last year's roster, making them one of the youngest teams in the GLIAC.
Gannon was picked to finish first in the South Division, receiving the other 27 first-place votes. Grand Valley was picked to win the North Division.
