November 17, 2007 - Each season, the Hillsdale College women's basketball team travels around the country to play in different early-season tournaments. The team's first stop of the 2007-08

season resulted in some extra luggage to bring home.
The Chargers won for the second time in two days, 66-49 over host Shippensburg to win the Wolf Bus Lines Tournament, held at Shippensburg. Hillsdale, 2-0 on the season, will participate in the Ashland Thanksgiving Classic next weekend.
Junior forward Katie Cezat (pictured) was named Tournament MVP after scoring 18 points with nine rebounds in Saturday's win. In the two games, Cezat, making her first two career starts, scored a total of 44 points to go along with 17 rebounds.

Saturday, she was 8-for-14 from the field in 28 terrific minutes on the court.
The game started out tight, with the host Raiders holding a six-point lead with 13:20 left in the first half. The Chargers rallied, carrying a 35-29 lead into the locker room at halftime. The second half was all Hillsdale, as the team led by as many as 22 points late in the second half before salting away the win.
Senior Julie Slot joined Cezat on the All-Tournament Team, scoring 11 points with three 3-point baskets for the Chargers. She also had seven rebounds and five assists in a fine all-around performance.
Freshman Kara McCormick came off the bench to get her first double-digit scoring game of her collegiate career. She had 13 points, three rebounds and two steals in 28 minutes off the bench. Freshman Laura Barczak scored seven points in 12 minutes, while junior Claire Aubrey added seven points, four rebounds and five assists to Hillsdale's victorious effort.
Sophomore guard Brooke Knight led all players with 12 rebounds, 11 on the defensive side, in 37 steady minutes on the court. The 12 boards are a career-best for Knight.
Hillsdale outrebouned Shippensburg 42-28 in the game, and held the Raiders to 34 percent shooting from the field.
