Homan has been named GLIAC South Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
The award was announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. It marks the second time in four weeks that a Charger men's player has earned the award. Prior to this season, no Hillsdale player has won the award since February 2006.
Homan scored his 1,000th career point with his first two free throws in Saturday's game against the Cardinals. by the time he was done helping the Chargers to a 97-66 win, Homan had 40 points and drained a school-record 10 3-point field goals. It's been more than 10 years since any Hillsdale College player scored 40 or more points in a game.
Tony Gugino was honored as GLIAC South Division Player of the Week earlier this season.
Homan is a 2004 graduate of Celina High School in Celina, Ohio.
