Julie Slot wins GLIAC South Division Player of the Week honors
January 7, 2008 - Senior forward Julie Slot was honored as the GLIAC South Division Player of the Week for the first time in her news story image career Monday. The award was announce dby the GLIAC office.

Slot helped pave the way for two wins by the Charger women's basketball team on the road last week. In Thursday's win over Ashland, Slot scored a career-high 32 points to lead Hillsdale to an 81-66 victory. She hit a career-high six 3-point baskets, one shy of the school record.

She played another fine all-around game in Saturday's 88-74 win at Findlay, collecting 20 points, six rebounds and four assists in 37 minutes on the court.

Slot is Hillsdale's second-leading scorer this season, averaging 13.4 points. Her 5.2 rebounds-per-game is also second on the team.

Junior Katie Cezat was honored as the South Division's Player of the Week during the first week of the regular season in November.

The Chargers are off to an 11-2 start to the season and host Lake Superior State University at 6 p.m. Thursday at Hillsdale's Jesse Philips Arena.
