Katie Cezat wins GLIAC South Division Player of the Week Award for second time in a row
January 28, 2008 - For the second straight week, Charger junior women's basketball player Kate Cezat has earned GLIAC South Division Player of the Week honors. The award was announced

by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Cezat had a spectacular weekend of games in helping the Chargers to two straight victories. In Saturday's win over Gannon, Cezt had 24 points and a school-record 25 rebounds to lead Hillsdale to a 61-54 win over the Golden Knights. Her 25 rebounds broke the previous school record of 21, which she tied on Jan. 3, and shared with Michele Smith, who originally set the record in February 1984.
In Thursday's 71-37 win over Mercyhurst, Cezat played just 27 minutes, and had 18 points and eight rebounds. Cezat previously won the award on Nov. 19 and Jan. 21.
For the season, Cezat is the GLIAC's leading scorer (20.9) and rebounder (12.4) for the 15-3 Chargers. Hillsdale holds a 2 1/2 game lad in the South Division standings.
The Chargers will host Grand Valley State University this Thursday at Jesse Philips Arena.
