Biography:
I started my career as a high school Spanish teacher in suburban Detroit. I have been training teachers since 1999. Before coming to Hillsdale College, I taught at Michigan State University and Saginaw Valley State University.

The Teaching of Reading in the Secondary Content Areas (EDU 472)
What is your favorite student success story?:
My favorite student success story occurs every time our department (education) hears how well prepared our teacher education students are.
What do you like best about Hillsdale College?:
The faculty and staff are truly committed to inspiring the next generation of leaders in America.
What advice would you give to prospective students?:
I would encourage students to make the most of their college years. College is the time to read great books, to ask probing questions, and to make quality friendships.
What do you like best about the students at Hillsdale?:
I like that the students are honest, hard-working, and eager to learn.
