Biography:
Growing up, I lived and breathed basketball, playing both at the middle-school and high-school levels. As I grew older, staying active in community service and promoting the conservative message became more and more important to me. In high school I served as president of Youth Saint Vincent de Paul and president of the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council.
Today, I put school first but participate in a variety of on-campus activities such as Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, the Aliaga Foundation (chairman of the Hillsdale Chapter), Student Federation (Representative), College Republicans (Vice President), St. Jude’s Up ‘Til Dawn (Membership Chairman), Catholic Society, and Greek Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship.
I love Hillsdale because it is one of the few schools where the truth behind conservatism is taught and where students are not taught what to think-– they are taught how to think.
Why did you choose to attend Hillsdale?:
I chose to attend Hillsdale because I thought it would help me grow the most as a person. Despite the bad weather and tiny population, there is no other school like it. I feel grateful to have the unique opportunity of learning here.
What do you like best about Hillsdale?:
My favorite aspect of Hillsdale is the interest that both the administration and the faculty place in watching every student grow and succeed.
What are your plans after graduation?:
I hope to pursue a law degree and eventually politics.
What unique experiences have you had while attending Hillsdale?:
I have made great friends and been exposed to learning and leadership opportunities unavailable elsewhere.
What is your favorite professor story?:
I accidentally stole one of Professor Dave Stewart’s pencils once, so the next time I asked to borrow one, he refused and made me walk all the way back to Simpson to get another.
Describe the impact of Hillsdale's core curriculum on you.:
It has greatly expanded my knowledge of the world and helped me develop as a person.
