The 1985 Football Team—This NAIA National Championship team finished the season with an 11-1-1 record and tied the University of Central Arkansas 10-10 for the title of national champions.

Tony Flynn—Owner of the local radio station, WCSR-AM/FM, Flynn was the play-by-play announcer of Charger games for 37 years.

Albert Rizzardi, ’39 (posthumous)—He served as quarterback of the undefeated 1938 football team and was the first athletic All-American at Hillsdale College.

Pat Riepma, ’82—A four-year starter at quarterback of the 1979 to 1982 Charger teams, he led the 1982 squad to a team record for most wins in a single season with a 12-1 record.  He still holds school records for passing percentage.

Sandy Skaisgir Tobin, ’90—She was a GLIAC First-Team All-Conference basketball player for each of her four years, Honorable Mention All-American and Hillsdale’s all-time women’s scoring leader with 2,160 points.
