Family Planting Day

Saturday, June 1, 2013
9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Barber House/Children's Garden

Bring the family to plant the raised beds in the Slayton Arboretum Children’s Garden. Each raised bed will have a theme, and this year’s themes will include a pizza garden, a rainbow garden, and a craft garden. Parents can adopt the neighboring beds as we supplement the existing perennials with colorful annual selections. Window boxes will be planted too. There will be additional activities to accommodate children of all ages, and each child will take home a souvenir for their efforts. All garden tools and supplies will be provided. If you plan to attend, please RSVP by May 29 to arbevents@hillsdale.edu or (517) 607-2241.
