Note from the Director of Health & Wellness
At Ambler Health & Wellness Center, our goal is provide effective and efficient medical and psychological care to Hillsdale students and the campus community. In doing so, we aim to support the College’s mission to “best develop the minds and improve the hearts of the students” by treating each individual’s TOTAL (physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, relational, and behavioral) health, not simply addressing symptoms.
We provide quality health care by having a full-time nurse and assistant during office hours that provide medical care at no cost. A Physician’s Assistant has office hours each weekday morning, for a $50 fee, and can treat most non-acute sicknesses. Our staff also provides appropriate referrals when more intensive or specialized care is needed.
Our therapeutic staff consists of clinicians who are experienced in treating mood disorders, anxiety and stress, alcohol/other drug addiction, trauma, family concerns, sexual issues and other mental health disorders. These services are available to students and college staff at no charge so that they can be easily and readily accessed. Massage therapy, as preventative care or treatment, is also available for a fee.
In all of these services, we seek to treat and educate individuals to assist them in developing a lifelong pattern of healthy thoughts, behaviors, and character.
