The Salvation Army of Hillsdale, Michigan has been committed to serving the residents of Hillsdale County since 1886. The Salvation Army Corps provides church services, social services, youth programs, disaster services and much more. Volunteerism opportunities are many and times are flexible:
- Youth Character Building program on Tuesday nights for elementary through high school students
- Helping out at the Thrift Store
- Secretarial work in the Corps office
- Unloading or sorting in the Food Pantry
- Helping to prepare and serve meals in the Soup Kitchen that serves hot lunches every day except Monday
- Teaching brass instruments to beginners
- Getting a group of friends together to ring bells during the Christmas Kettle Campaign
