Happy students

One of the most rewarding and entertaining experiences of college, especially a small college like Hillsdale, is residence life.  Students living in a residence hall or Greek house build friendships that last a lifetime, experience personal growth and make memories that will be cherished for years to come.

All freshmen are required to live in a residence hall. Sophomores who have gone through recruitment may move into a Greek house, and juniors and seniors may apply for off-campus housing. However, you are guaranteed a dorm room for all four years.

All the residence halls at Hillsdale are single sex with the exception of our newest residence, The Suites, which features a men’s wing and a women’s wing separated by lobbies. Each dorm has a House Director (HD) and student resident assistants (RA), as well as housekeeping service to help reduce wear and tear on the buildings. A mix of single- and double-occupancy rooms are available in most residences. Vending machines are available in all residences for those late-night munchies, as are laundry facilities, microwaves, toasters and cable televisions. You and your roommate will each have a dataport and share a phone line. Every residence and Greek house has a pay phone for students’ use as well.

As a campus community, we are committed to providing an enriching living environment conducive to success in both social and academic arenas.  We invite you to look over our residence hall descriptions and policies.
