The Institutional Advancement Office raises private funding for all aspects of Hillsdale College so that its historic mission of independence and excellence will be preserved. This office processes gifts and issues receipts for the College, which is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Institutional Advancement is located in Moss Hall, on the main campus square.  Please contact us by calling (517) 437-7341 or write:

Whether you are interested in supporting Hillsdale’s general operations or in designating your gift, please review the following convenient options:

  • Give online – A secure and convenient way to support Hillsdale.

 

  • Mail your gift – Make your personal or business check or money order payable to Hillsdale College, and mail it to the address above.

 

  • Credit Cards – Please use our secure online form, or call (517) 437-7341.  We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Diner’s Club.

 

  • Pledges – Pledges (extending from a few months to several years) can be made in writing and mailed to the address above. Please print clearly and in full your name, mailing address and telephone number. State the full amount of the pledge, your payment schedule and the amount and date of each pledge payment. You may designate your pledge to general operations or to a specific program or project. The Advancement Office will send you a pledge reminder, if you request it.

 

  • Matching Gifts – If you work for, or are retired from, a company with a matching gift program, your gift may be eligible for a match. Please obtain the proper forms from Human Resources; many forms are available online. View a list of matching gift companies.

 

  • Memorial Gifts – If you wish to honor the memory of a family member or friend by making a contribution to Hillsdale College, please write us at the above address and include the name of the individual you are honoring. Please state the designation of the gift, if you wish. We will contact the family to let them know a donation has been made.

Hillsdale College values our donors' privacy. We will not sell, trade or share a donor's personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. We will only share personal information once the donor has given the College specific permission to do so. Additionally, any credit card information a donor provides for online donation transactions is immediately encrypted and used only for that transaction.
