Parents Association

The Hillsdale College Parents Association consists of all parents of currently enrolled students.  As stated in the Association's Constitution and Bylaws, the Parents Association seeks "to promote with parents the spirit of Hillsdale, to win their endorsement and cooperation with its objective being the development of their children attending Hillsdale College, and to solicit their involvement and support for projects and functions which will aid the College in the furtherance of its purpose educationally, socially and financially."

The governing body of the Association is the Parents Association Steering Committee (PASC), a small and cohesive group of parents who oversee these objectives and act as a sounding board for the full Association.  In addition, the PASC hosts the Fall and Spring Parents Weekends.  Members answer questions and hear suggestions.  Information gathered during the weekend is useful to the director of the Parents Association, who serves as liaison between the PASC and the College administration.  Each year, several new Hillsdale parents are asked to serve on the PASC for three years or until their sons and daughters graduate.

Not only do parents of current students serve an important function by providing support for their own students, but, through personal contacts and recommendations, parents can assist in admissions efforts, institutional advancement needs, outreach programs and job placement opportunities.
