Fowler maintenance building

Fowler Maintenance Building

Named in honor of retired Vice President for Administration F. LaMar “Tony” Fowler, the Fowler Maintenance Building houses the offices of the physical plant, including buildings, grounds and custodial services, the campus fleet and shuttle service, and shipping and receiving services.

History

A modern maintenance and physical plant building had been an urgent campus need for many years. On May 8, 1992, this need was finally realized with the dedication of the Fowler Maintenance Building. The ceremony was kept secret from Vice President for Administration Tony Fowler until the last minute, when he learned that the building would be named in his honor.
