L.A. “Red” & Phyllis Niedfeldt Residence

L.A. “Red” & Phyllis Niedfeldt Residence

A home to 50 men from all classes who emanate community and service.

Located on the corner of College and Union Streets, Niedfeldt, built in 1990, is named after L.A. “Red” and Phyllis Niedfeldt and houses approximately 50 men in single and double occupancy rooms with adjoining bathrooms. Niedfeldt is affectionately known for the hard work and service hours the men provide throughout the school year. Inside the building hangs a plaque with words from the Niedfeldts that act as a reminder to its residents: “Students who live and study here are asked to preserve the ideals of truth, diligence, service, stewardship, and love. Life’s blessings will then be their companion.”
