Services for Alumni
As you move beyond graduation, our office is here to continue supporting you through your professional development. We also recognize you as an irreplaceable resource to current students, as you represent the college’s mission fulfilled and demonstrate what it means to take a liberal arts education into the world. Please stay in touch with our office regarding needs you may have or ideas about how you can help support our student body in planning for their futures!
Resume, Cover Letter, and Job Search Assistance
Email us your resume or cover letter, and our staff would be happy to provide you with feedback. We can also assist you with personal statements and the graduate school application process or offer assistance in a job search. Alumni can access our job search platform, Handshake, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org for an access name and password. Employers on this platform have been narrowed to those specifically interested in hiring Hillsdale graduates.
Job and Internship Posting
If you are looking to hire a Hillsdale student for a job or internship, you can post the position through Handshake, our Career Services platform. If you are aware of jobs or internships that might be good opportunities for our students, we would love to know about them. To learn how to post a position to Handshake, or to share information about a job or internship with our office, please contact John Quint.
Participate in our "Living and Working" Program
Through this program, we take students to cities across the country to meet alumni and job shadow in various fields. Students have traveled to a variety of cities including Chicago, D.C., and Detroit, and we are interested in expanding our reach to new cities in the future. If you have suggestions or ideas about new destinations for this program, or to inquire about participating in Student-Alumni Networking Receptions of future programs, please contact Joanna Wiseley.
Connect on LinkedIn
Don’t forget to join the Hillsdale College alumni group on LinkedIn. LinkedIn is a great way to network with other Hillsdale College alumni and students, as well as find out about employment opportunities.
