A Visual Philosophy of Sir Winston Churchill

October 25 - November 20, 2018

Commissioned for this work in the 1970s by Winston Churchill’s daughter, Sarah, artist Curtis Hooper developed this series of intaglio drawings based upon famous Churchill photographs and quotations. Hillsdale College proudly displays the original artwork alongside the lithograph prints.

Chartreuse

Chartreuse String Trio is made up of violinist Myra Hinrichs (Chicago), violist Carrie Frey (New York), and cellist Helen Newby (San Francisco). Chartreuse strives to expand the string trio repertoire through close collaboration with emerging and established composers. Their performance will feature the world premiere of palilogia-fragmente by Hillsdale College Associate Professor of Music, Daniel Tacke, along with works by Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho, Tatar-Russian composer Sofia Gubaidulina, and selected fantasias by Henry Purcell.
