Hallowed Ground: New Phi Sig Alumni Pavilion to Celebrate Greek Life, Friendships

Every Hillsdale student has probably spent some time on the lot across the street from Broadlawn, a popular site for student gatherings and alumni activities. The lot will soon boast a beautiful pavilion to enhance those gatherings, thanks to the vision and dedicated planning of the owners of the property—Hillsdale’s Phi Sigma Epsilon fraternity alumni.

Recent Graduate Braden VanDyke Joins Alumni Office

The 2021 senior class president and former student president of the 1844 Society joined the office last October to fill the position of Assistant Director for Student Programs and Young Alumni. Braden hopes to cultivate a spirit of gratitude and stewardship among the student body through the work of the 1844 Society.

Alumni Spotlight – Pete Dzwilewski, ’87

Never give up. It’s a lesson that Pete Dzwilewski took to heart as a javelin thrower on Hillsdale College’s track team in the mid-1980s. From a rocky start as a new freshman thrower, Pete rose to the top of his sport by his senior year and still holds the College’s record nearly 35 years later in the javelin throw.
