Exercise Science
“Institution fomite flammam non saturitatem vas, ” contends Socrates, “Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.” Exercise Science embodies the true liberal art education, which assists diligent, well-disposed students in their lifelong pursuit of the true, the good, and the beautiful. Our professors possess a vast knowledge of the human body that challenges our students through lectures, research, and laboratory experiences. Our majors explore the science of the human body through studies including, anatomy, gross anatomy, exercise physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, physics, chemistry and athletic training. Students are prepared to pursue further education in health care, nursing, kinesiology, physical and occupational therapy, athletic training, medicine, chiropractic and exercise physiology, and public health. Mastery and application in learning are paramount to your success.
