Hillsdale College invites application for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in History (beginning August, 2020), rank to be determined by the level of experience and the record of the successful candidate. We seek a Modern European historian with expertise in nineteenth and twentieth-century Europe. We would especially welcome applicants with experience and interest in Military History, the History of France, and/or the History of Russia. All applicants should possess ability and enthusiasm for teaching courses in the Western and the American Heritage, required components of the college’s core curriculum. The successful candidate will teach three courses per semester, two of which will be sections of the core Heritage courses. Salary competitive. PhD required.
