Have you ever wanted to experience the extravagance of the rich and famous during the Swing Era? Here’s your chance. On May 6, Hillsdale College will host a 1929 Duesenberg Model J on campus. Members of the media are invited to a photo-op and ride-along. Only 481 Model Js were produced between 1929 and 1937; priced at approximately $15,000 when new, it is the most significant American car of its era. Hillsdale College Swing Club members will be present in period costume to add the flair of the Roaring Twenties to the historical car.

The Duesenberg will be offered at RM Sotheby’s Motor City auction during the Concours d’Elegance of America at St. John’s weekend, July 30 in Plymouth. Estimated to fetch more than $1,250,000, proceeds of the sale will be donated to support Hillsdale College.
