“The George Washington Fellowship Program prepares outstanding students for a career in the public square by focusing their studies on American founding principles and statesmen who uphold those principles,” said Matthew Spalding, Vice President of Washington Operations and Dean of the Van Andel Graduate School of Government. “Through research, writing, discussions, and especially an internship semester in the nation’s capital, students will expand their understanding not only of the principles but also the practice of free government.”
