Hillsdale College K-12 Education Office Awards 2022 Salvatori Award to Seven Oaks Classical School
HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College K-12 Education Office has awarded its 2022 Henry Salvatori Prize for Excellence in Teaching to Seven Oaks Classical School in Ellettsville, Indiana. The Hillsdale Member School was given the award in an assembly on Friday, May 13.
Halter Center Hosts International Para Trap Competition
HILLSDALE, Mich. — The John A. Halter Shooting Sports Education Center hosted the 2022 Para Trap Grand Prix from May 10-15, in tandem with the National Junior Olympic Rifle Championship at the Biermann Athletic Center. Para trap shooters from USA Shooting and overseas competed in the event, which was open to the public.
Van Andel Graduate School of Government Celebrates First Graduating Class
HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College’s Van Andel Graduate School of Government in Washington, D.C., celebrated its first graduating class on Saturday, May 7. Caitlin Burke, Steve Schaefer, and Bridget Weisenburger each received their Master of Arts in Government degree at the main campus graduation ceremony.
Blake Center for Faith and Freedom Hosts Somers Rotary Club Meeting
The Rotary Club of Somers, Connecticut, held one of its monthly meetings at the Blake Center for Faith and Freedom on March 2. Approximately 30 club members visited the Monticello replica on the Blake Center campus. Leaders from the East Longmeadow, Mass., Rotary club were also in attendance.
Top Academic Graduates, Outstanding Seniors Recognized at Hillsdale College Commencement
HILLSDALE, Mich. — As a part of its 170th Commencement Ceremony, Hillsdale College recognized the top five academic graduates of the Class of 2022 and the Outstanding Senior Man and Woman. The Outstanding Senior Man and Woman are nominated by the senior class and voted on by the faculty.

Hillsdale College Grants Honorary Degrees at Commencement Ceremony
HILLSDALE, Mich. — At its 170th annual Commencement ceremony on May 7, Hillsdale College awarded an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degree to psychologist and author Jordan B. Peterson, who addressed the graduating class of 2022, and an honorary Doctorate of Business to entrepreneur Bill Atherton. Hillsdale College President Larry P. Arnn awarded both honorary degrees.

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College celebrated its 170th Commencement on Saturday, May 7. The College has held this ceremony annually since 1860. Jordan B. Peterson, author, clinical psychologist, and professor emeritus at University of Toronto, delivered the keynote address, and the College conferred honorary degrees and recognized top academic graduates.
Winners of Robert H. and Susan M. Rewoldt Essay Contest in Politics Announced
HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College announces the winners of the second annual Robert H. and Susan M. Rewoldt Essay Contest in Politics. Students Maggie Hroncich, John Rowe, and Duggan Foley took first, second, and third place, respectively. Their essays were written on the topic: “Liberty and the Rule of Law.”
The New Criterion Honors President Larry P. Arnn with Edmund Burke Award
HILLSDALE, Mich. — The New Criterion awarded the ninth annual Edmund Burke Award for Service to Culture and Society to Hillsdale College President Larry P. Arnn at its annual gala at the Metropolitan Club in New York City on April 28.
