Hillsdale College Tower Players Present Brian Friel’s “Translations”

The Hillsdale College Tower Players opens their production of “Translations,” by Brian Friel on Sept. 28 in the College’s Markel Auditorium. Students, faculty, and community members will attend the opening performance. The play runs through Oct. 2. “The students have worked quickly to bring this beautiful and nuanced play to life in a little more than one month of rehearsals,” said James Brandon, chairman and professor of theatre. “Brian Friel’s play is about the human condition, and our constant desire to be understood.” 

Hillsdale College Student to Compete on USA World Championship Team

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College shotgun team member Jordan Sapp will compete at the ISSF World Championship for Shotgun in Osijek, Croatia, as a member of USA Shooting’s Junior Men’s Skeet team. Sapp is the first member of Hillsdale’s shotgun team to earn such an honor.

Hillsdale College’s K-12 Education Office Announces its 2022-2023 Master Teachers

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The K-12 Education Office at Hillsdale College has announced its 2022-2023 Master Teachers. This is the third cohort of Master Teachers, who are honored for their excellence in the art of teaching. The program is part of Hillsdale’s efforts in K-12 American classical education, which include the Barney Charter School Initiative and the Hoogland Center for Teaching Excellence.

Hillsdale College Launches Center for Military History and Grand Strategy

Grand Rapids Ballet Company Performs at Hillsdale College

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College hosted the Grand Rapids Ballet for a performance at the College’s Markel Auditorium on Sept. 10. This performance was the first installment of Hillsdale’s Professional Artist Series for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Hillsdale College Students Visit Historic German Theater

Hillsdale College students taking part in the Würzburg Study Abroad Program concluded their time in Germany by visiting Burgfestspiele Jagsthausen — a historical performing arts theater in Jagsthausen. Associate Professor of German Stephen Naumann led the students through their study abroad program, and organized their visit to the theater.

Hillsdale College Announces New Pistol Range at Shooting Sports Center
