Hillsdale College ‘Best College Value’ in Michigan
Kiplinger’s Personal Finance ranks Hillsdale #36 nationally for “exceptional economic and academic value”
HILLSDALE, Mich. – Hillsdale College has again been named the No. 1 “Best College Value” in Michigan according to Kiplinger’s Personal Finance’s list of Top 300 Best College Values 2017. This is the 8th consecutive year that the college has been awarded this distinction. Hillsdale was ranked 36 in the nation among all academic institutions.

Introduced in 1998, the Kiplinger’s rankings highlight public and private universities and private liberal arts colleges that combine outstanding academics with affordable cost. In addition, Kiplinger has ranked the top 100 best values in each category.
Kiplinger assesses value by measurable standards of academic quality and affordability. Quality measures include the admission rate, the percentage of students who return for sophomore year, the student-faculty ratio and four-year graduation rate. Cost criteria include sticker price, financial aid and average debt at graduation.
