Hillsdale College Choir Performs with Jackson Symphony Orchestra
Season finale concert includes Spring Arbor University Choir and Jackson Chorale in tribute to Leonard Bernstein
On Saturday, April 27, the Hillsdale College Choir will perform with the Jackson Symphony Orchestra, the Spring Arbor University Choir, and the Jackson Chorale at Jackson College’s Potter Center. The concert, titled “Ode to Joy,” will feature Leonard Bernsteins’s Chichester Psalms, sung in Hebrew, and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.
The performance is sponsored by Spring Arbor University and is the conclusion of the Jackson Symphony Orchestra’s tribute to American composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein. Guest soloists will include Hans Tashjian (bass), Chelsea Shephard (soprano), Myka Murphy (mezzo-soprano), and Albert Lee (tenor).

Spring Arbor University Choir is an ensemble of approximately 45 students. Associate Professor of Music Richard Hintze is the Director of Choral Activities.
Jackson Chorale is a community-based program of 80 singers. Wendy Treacher is the Music Director.
