Hillsdale College Football Team Wins Second-Ever NCAA Division II Playoff Game

Hillsdale College congratulates the Charger football team (10-2) on its victory over the Kutztown University Golden Bears (9-2) in the regional NCAA Division II playoffs. The win marks a significant milestone for the team: it is the second time in the team’s history that it has won an NCAA playoff game.

Early on, it looked as though the Golden Bears would win the day. At the end of the second quarter, Kutztown had a 20-6 lead, scoring three touchdowns. In the third quarter, however, the Chargers scored three touchdowns within ten minutes. They secured their victory in the final quarter, scoring three touchdowns to the Golden Bears’ one.
