Hillsdale College Hosts Hometown Lecture Series in Huntsville
Distinguished Fellow Michael Rectenwald taught about The Great Reset
HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College hosted a Hometown Lecture Series on The Great Reset in Huntsville, Alabama, on May 3. Hillsdale College distinguished fellow Michael Rectenwald delivered the lecture.
“The Great Reset project has already reached into and altered the behavior of nearly every industry, multinational corporation, local and national government, and our personal lives. It harnesses the information technology and biotechnology sectors to establish a stranglehold on the entire world.” Rectenwald said.
Rectenwald outlined his plan for stopping the Great Reset, which he calls “the grand refusal.” “Although much water is already under the bridge, the project is still very much underway. The momentum is against us, but we still have time to avert the total disaster that is unfolding,” he explained. “Our grand refusal is both individual and collective, although it is not a call for revolution . . . this is not a utopian scheme to counter another ‘utopian’ one. We do not seek perfection but rather sanity.”
Rectenwald holds a Ph.D. in literary and cultural studies from Carnegie Mellon University. He has taught at New York University, Duke University, North Carolina Central University, Carnegie Mellon University, and Case Western Reserve University. He is the author of numerous books, including “The Great Reset and the Struggle for Liberty.”
The event took place at the Huntsville Marriot at the Space and Rocket Center. More than 300 guests attended the speech and luncheon.
The Hometown Lecture Series offers supporters across the country opportunities to learn more about Hillsdale College and enjoy speeches by Hillsdale faculty and fellows on timely topics. Since 2011, the College has welcomed more than 10,000 guests to Hometown Lectures.
