Hillsdale College Hosts Lecture Series Commemorating the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation
Keynote Speaker Brad Littlejohn featured in second event of semester-long series
Hillsdale, Mich.—Hillsdale College will host the second installment of its fall lecture series, This Far by Faith: The Reformation at 500. The second session, “Faith and Life,” features lectures from Hillsdale faculty members and a keynote address from Brad Littlejohn, president of The Davenant Trust and adjunct professor of philosophy at Moody Bible Institute’s Spokane campus. In his lecture, “Real Presence in Reformed Sacramentology,” Littlejohn will draw on his expertise in theology to explore the Protestant approach to the Christian sacraments.

Who
Brad Littlejohn is president of The Davenant Trust and adjunct professor of philosophy at Moody Bible Institute’s Spokane campus. He earned his doctorate in theology and ethics and his Master of Theology from the University of Edinburgh, and both a master’s in Trinitarian theology and culture and his bachelor’s degree from New Saint Andrew’s College. He is the author of three books: The Peril and Promise of Christian Liberty: Richard Hooker, the Puritans, and Protestant Political Theology; Richard Hooker: A Guide to His Life and Work; and The Mercersburg Theology and the Quest for Reformed Catholocity. He has served as editor of several books on Protestant theology and history. Littlejohn has also penned several articles in various scholarly journals, including “Journal of the Society of Christian Ethics” and “Reformation and Renaissance Review.”Additionally, Littlejohn is associate editor for the journal “Political Theology” and a member and representative of Covenant Investment Advisors, LLC.
