Hillsdale College’s Kirby Center Hosts Lecture by Washington Free Beacon Editor Bill Gertz
National security expert to discuss China, U.S. tension
On Tuesday, March 26, Hillsdale College’s Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship will host a lecture from Washington Times national security columnist and senior editor of the Washington Free Beacon Bill Gertz as part of the AWC Family Foundation Lecture series. Gertz’s lecture, “China and U.S. National Security: Gathering Storm?” will explore the friction between America and China and the potential threats posed by the growing tensions between the two world powers.

WHO: Bill Gertz is the senior editor for the Washington Free Beacon and national security columnist for the Washington Times. He has authored several books on American national security issues, including iWar: War and Peace in the Information Age and The China Threat: How the People’s Republic Targets America. Gertz has earned various awards for his work, including the Reed Irvine Award for Investigative Journalism by Accuracy in Media in 2014.

The Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship is an extension of the teaching mission of Hillsdale College to Washington, D.C. Its purpose is to teach the Constitution and the principles that give it meaning.
