Hillsdale in D.C. Hosts Lecture from Political Scholar Kevin Slack

Washington, D.C. – On Thursday, November 14, the Hillsdale College Van Andel Graduate School of Government welcomes Kevin Slack, associate professor of politics at Hillsdale College, for an evening lecture titled “Identity Politics and the Seed of Tyranny.” The lecture, hosted on the Hillsdale College Washington, D.C. campus at the Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship, will draw on Slack’s expertise in post-1960s progressivism to explore the implications of identity politics for American democracy.
The lecture is free and open to the media, but space is limited. Attendees are encouraged to register by visiting the event’s ticketing site.

Kevin Slack, Ph.D., is an associate professor of politics at the Van Andel Graduate School of Statesmanship at Hillsdale College. He holds a B.A. in history from Indiana University; a master’s degree in political science from the University of California, Davis; and a master’s degree in political philosophy and a Ph.D. in politics from the University of Dallas. Slack is the author of Benjamin Franklin, Natural Right, and the Art of Virtue. His work has been featured in the Pennsylvania Magazine of History and Biography, New England Quarterly, American Political Thought, American Thinker, and the Heritage Foundation.
