Hillsdale Hospital Partners with Hillsdale College to More Effectively Distribute Covid-19 Vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna
HILLSDALE, MI.—A unique partnership between Hillsdale Hospital and Hillsdale College has resulted in an effective and efficient distribution of both the Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines in Hillsdale County.
The Pfizer vaccines require ultra low-temperature freezers. Hillsdale College has two of these specialized freezers in its biology department and volunteered use of that freezer space. Because of this access, Hillsdale Hospital was able to apply for and receive Pfizer vaccines as well as Moderna.

Hillsdale, Mich. – Today at the White House, President Donald Trump announced that Dr. Larry P. Arnn, Hillsdale College president, will be appointed to serve as chairman of the President’s Advisory 1776 Commission. Dr. Matthew Spalding, vice president for the College’s Washington, D.C. operations and dean of the Van Andel Graduate School of Government, has been appointed executive director of the Commission.

Hillsdale College is proud to award the Henry Salvatori Prize for Excellence in Teaching to Golden View Classical Academy in Golden, Colorado. Established in 1996, the annual $25,000 award goes to a public or private school that exemplifies the principles of a classical liberal arts education.
Governor Ron DeSantis toured Jacksonville Classical Academy (JXC) on Oct. 20, to observe classes and to discuss transitioning students from distance learning back to in-person instruction. HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College, a national leader in classical liberal arts K-12 education, has been asked by the Florida Legislature and Department of Education to advise in their review and release of standards for public school students.
In 2019, the Florida legislature passed Florida House Bill 807. The bill requires state test specifications, instructional materials, and state standards for civics education to be reviewed by the Commissioner of Education in consultation with external education entities. Hillsdale College was among the selected group of education consultants.
