Registration Now Open for Hillsdale’s “Ancient Roots of Western Civilization” Hostel Program

Hillsdale College today announced that registration is open for “Ancient Roots of Western Civilization,” an interactive Hillsdale Hostel course that will explore the rise and fall of Athenian democracy and the roles of Judaism and Christianity in the development of the Western civilization. The program will be held from June 12-18 on the Hillsdale College campus in Hillsdale, Michigan.
“We’re pleased to offer this exciting and valuable course as part of Hillsdale’s popular Hostel series,” said Peggy Youngs, director of the Hillsdale Hostel program. “At the conclusion of this program, participants will have a better understanding of our civilization’s history; how we got here, where we are, and ultimately where we’re going. This discussion with our professors on campus is sure to offer the learning experience of a lifetime.”
Often referred to as “a vacation in the world of ideas,” Hillsdale Hostel programs are multi-day seminars that give students of all ages an opportunity to study a variety of subjects, including economics, history, politics, and religion, with Hillsdale’s nationally renowned faculty – the same professors who teach undergraduate and graduate students during the academic year.
“Ancient Roots of Western Civilization” will be held from June 12-18 on the beautiful Hillsdale College campus in Hillsdale, Mich. The cost is $950 per person and includes lodging, meals, lectures, and other activities. Commuter rates are available.
