Slayton Arboretum Hosts Winter Lights Festival

Hillsdale College’s Slayton Arboretum will hold its annual Winter Lights Festival and Open House on Thursday, December 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Barber House, located at 291 Hillsdale Street. The event is free and open to the public. Visitors can tour the neighboring Children’s Garden, which will be illuminated by thousands of lights. They can also enjoy light refreshments and make natural ornaments. Poinsettias will be on sale to benefit the Arboretum.

The Slayton Arboretum displays and preserves living plant collections and native plant communities, and promotes knowledge about plants through teaching, research, publications, and public outreach programs.
