The Princeton Review Again Names Hillsdale College One of Nation’s Best
Hillsdale College ranked highest in 2021 for journalism, community service, and religiosity
Hillsdale, Mich. — The Princeton Review’s annual release of the top 386 colleges and universities in the nation has again named Hillsdale College among one of the best in the country and in the Midwest. The 2021 edition of top colleges surveyed 143,000 students from across the country. Hillsdale College ranked in the top 20 of 12 subcategories related to academics and student life.
“It is encouraging to be included among this group of leading institutions for yet another year,” said Christopher Van Orman, Hillsdale College provost. “It is a confirmation that a true liberal arts education, one that focuses on forming successful, virtuous students and citizens, remains one of the best and most-desired educations among our nation’s young people.”
Some of Hillsdale College’s highest rankings include:
- 3 for Most Engaged in Community Service (up one from 2019)
- 3 for Future Rotarians and DAR
- 3 for Most Conservative Students
- 5 for Best College Newspaper
- 7 for Most Religious Students
- 10 for Professors Get High Marks (up two from 2019)
- 12 for Most Politically Active Students
- 14 for Most Accessible Professors
- 15 for Best-Run Colleges
