On Monday, November 6, Hillsdale College welcomes Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts to campus. Ricketts will present a luncheon talk titled “Taming the Leviathan: Reducing the Size and Scope of Government,” which will explore ideas of efficient government and the ways Gov. Ricketts is working to reduce the size of government in his own state.

WHO

Pete Ricketts is the 40th governor of Nebraska. Since taking office in 2015, he has successfully fostered a more effective and more efficient state government. Prior to being elected governor, Gov. Ricketts held various senior leadership positions at TD Ameritrade. He is also the founder of Drakon, LLC, a company geared toward the support of local startups and entrepreneurs. He is a director of the Chicago Cubs baseball team.
