Hillsdale College Hosts Fall Convocation
Assistant professor of politics Adam Carrington to offer remarks, College to present Daugherty Award for Teaching Excellence
On Thursday, November 15, Hillsdale College will host its Fall Convocation, gathering the college community together to celebrate academic tradition and excellence. The featured speaker is Adam Carrington, assistant professor of politics at Hillsdale College. The ceremony will include the presentation of the prestigious Emily Daugherty Award for Teaching Excellence, which honors a member of the Hillsdale faculty who has exhibited outstanding academic work and dedication to instruction.

Adam Carrington is an assistant professor of politics at Hillsdale College, where he teaches on American political thought, Constitutional law and literature. He also serves as the faculty advisor for Hillsdale College’s chapters of Pi Sigma Alpha and Young Americans for Freedom. He is the author of Justice Stephen Field’s Cooperative Constitution of Liberty: Liberty in Full, and his work has been published in several academic journals, including Journal of Supreme Court History, American Political Thought, Presidential Studies Quarterly, Justice Systems Journal and The American Journal of Legal History.
