Theory II

Extends the subjects and practices of Music 201 to include secondary dominants, tonicization, modulation, sequences, and Augmented Sixth and Neapolitan Sixth chords. Students will analyze numerous Bach chorales to become comfortable with using analysis to understand the structures of the works and to help the student form well-supported interpretations of each chorale.
