Hillsdale College Professors Publish Books on Theology, History, and More

Hillsdale, Mich. – Hillsdale College today announced the release of seven books during the 2019-20 school year, written or edited by professors in the history, classics, and English departments. These publications cover a variety of topics, including creationism, religion in America, Western civilization, and more.

Publications by Hillsdale College professors include:

  • Creation and Evolution in the Early American Scientific Affiliation by Mark A. Kalthoff, Henry Salvatori Chair in History and Traditional Values and professor of history;
  • Seeking Christendom: An Augustinian Defense of Western Civilization and Beyond Tenebrae: Christian Humanism in the Twilight of the West by Bradley J. Birzer, professor of history and Russell Amos Kirk Chair in American Studies;
  • On the Law of Nature: A Demonstrative Method, edited and translated by E. J. Hutchinson, associate professor of classics;
  • Beyond Dordt and De Auxiliis, co-written by Matthew Gaetano, associate professor of history;
  • The Essential Works of Thomas More, edited by Stephen Smith, dean of humanities and Temple Family Chair in English Literature;
  • Lyra Martyrum: The Poetry of the English Martyrs, 1503–1681 by Benedict J. Whalen, assistant professor of English.
