Junior Achievement

Mission

Junior Achievement allows Hillsdale College students to teach kids in kindergarten-12th grade using an interactive curriculum which focuses on economic principles, financial literacy, career and college preparation. Junior Achievement believes that “every young person can achieve success in today’s global economy,” but only if they have the right preparation and knowledge to do so!

About

Time spent in the classrooms looks different for volunteers depending on which program is delivered. Volunteers spend 20-30 minutes in elementary classrooms, visiting 5 separate times; in middle school classrooms, 45-60 minutes for 6-8 visits; in high school classrooms, 60 minutes for 8-10 visits. Junior Achievement staff provides the training, materials, and support necessary to ensure a positive experience.
