About
Alexander was drawn from Virginia to Michigan by Hillsdale’s reputation for academic rigor and an environment that encouraged a search for truth he started in high school. After trying core classes in economics, business, and Spanish, Alexander decided on an English major with a Spanish minor for their challenge and the way literature exposed him to and revealed new worldviews. He spent most of his time outside of class working as a resident assistant and barista, playing intramural volleyball and basketball, and playing music in his college band, campus ministries, his church, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia music fraternity. He also enjoyed a short stint studying abroad in Spain and Greece.
