Teaching of Secondary Physics

This course includes an introduction to and the use of Michigan Curriculum Framework K-12 Science Content Standards and Benchmarks as applied to physics teaching. Included in this course will be the study of principles and methods involved in the teaching of physics at the secondary level, including historical perspectives and trends, goals and objectives of teaching physics, curriculum perspectives and the safe use of equipment and/or chemicals such as liquid nitrogen in demonstrations and laboratories.
