Biography

Allison Postell specializes in Aristotelian ethics and metaphysics, and its application to contemporary virtue ethics. From 2010-2020, Postell taught at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. During part of her time there, she was the Director of Classics and taught text seminars spanning from the Pre-Socratic philosophers through the Renaissance. Postell joined Hillsdale College in 2020. She is currently writing a book on the intersection of Aristotle’s ethics and metaphysics, titled The Nature of Virtue Ethics, and greatly enjoys doing philosophy with the students at Hillsdale.
